I've been marbling, teaching and writing books about paper art for almost twenty years. I also teach from my home studio near State College, and will hold a class at your convenience for as few as four people, in case you have some friends who'd like to travel with you. My classes run from 10 AM to 3 PM, and are $75.00 per person, including materials. You can learn watercolor marbling, suminagashi or paste paper design.

About the Artist:

Diane Maurer-Mathison is recognized internationally as an expert paper artist. Her work is represented in numerous collections including those of the Cooper-Hewitt Museum, Harvard University Library, The Süleymaniye Library, Istanbul, Turkey, and the Museum of Antiquities, Urumchi, China.
Her decorative papers have been widely reproduced. Numerous commissions include designs for Lenox China, Godiva Chocolates, and Harper Collins Publishers.

Diane has taught throughout the United States, including surface design workshops for the Smithsonian Institution, Penland School of Crafts, and Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts. She has made guest appearances on The Carol Duvall Show, Home Matters, and Martha Stewart Living Television.
